Shelley Malone prepares and executes environmental field work, environmental media sampling (soil, groundwater, etc.), and the drilling and installation of soil borings and monitoring wells. Collect groundwater and soil samples according to various Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Standard Operating Procedures. Record logs of subsurface soils, monitoring well installations, and groundwater sampling parameters. Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessment investigations that include performing investigative site visits, as well as historical research pertaining to the site and surrounding areas. Develop specific Site Health and Safety Plans (SHSP) prior to field work and coordinate non-hazardous waste disposal.
Analyze environmental data and draft technical reports for submittal to various state regulatory agencies and clients in strict time frames. Create detailed figures, such as site details/concentration maps and geological cross sections, and tables according to laboratory analytical results. Types of reports prepared include a Noise Assessment Report in Dallas, Texas, a Source Removal Report in Tallahassee, Florida, a Case Closure Report in Fresno, California, and various Groundwater Monitoring Reports, Limited Subsurface Investigations, Spill Prevention Countermeasures and Control Plan, and Municipal Settings Designations.
Provide project support as required through a variety of additional duties that include conducting research, obtaining subcontractor bids, and reviewing state and local rules, regulations, and permitting requirements.
